Interreg IPA III CBC Programme “Greece-Albania 2021-2027: 3rd Phase of Public Consultation with Stakeholders
The Managing Authority of European Territorial Cooperation Programmes assigned, the technical support for the drafting of the new Interreg IPA III Cross-border Cooperation Programme “Greece-Albania 2021-2027” to REGION S.A. (ΤΟΠΟΣ Α.Ε.).
In the framework of the 3rd phase of public consultation the Managing Authority of European Territorial Cooperation Programmes is inviting stakeholders to share their views on the draft of the Interreg IPA III CBC Programme Greece-Albania 2021-2027, as it has been formulated until now. The Interreg IPA CBC Programme Greece-Albania 2021-2027 aims to promote socioeconomic development of the border area, develop economies of scale and overcome their peripheral positioning. The Programme Strategy emphasizes on specific objectives that can contribute in bridging the gap of regional, social and economic disparities in the cross-border area and promoting sustainable development. According to the joint development needs of the cross-border area the three Priority Axes that will be supported in the framework of new Programme are:
Priority Axis 1: Supporting transition to greener and more resilient cross-border regions (Policy Objective 2-A greener low- carbon Europe)
1.1 Enhancing biodiversity, green infrastructure in the urban environment, and reducing pollution
1.2 Promoting climate change adaptation and disaster risk prevention, resilience taking into account eco-system-based approaches
1.3: Promoting access to water and sustainable water management
Priority Axis 2: Improving accessibility in the cross-border area (Policy Objective 3- A more connected Europe)
2.1: Developing and enhancing sustainable, climate resilient, intelligent and intermodal national, regional and local mobility, including improved access to TEN-T and cross-border mobility
Priority Axis 3: Fostering sustainable cross-border economic and social development (Policy Objective 4-A more social and inclusive Europe)
3.1: Enhancing the role of culture and sustainable tourism in economic development, social inclusion and social innovation
The online survey includes four sections with different set of questions.
• Section A regards the evaluation of the Programme specific objectives particularly regarding Priority Axis 3: Fostering sustainable cross-border economic and social mobility (Policy Objective 4-A more social Europe).
• Section B includes the evaluation of the intervention fields to be targeted under each specific objective.
• Section C concerns the evaluation of the output and result indicators selected under each specific objective.
• Section D aims to identify interventions of strategic importance for the new programme area.
