the First World Solar Technology Summit (WSTS) is being organized by International Solar Alliance (ISA) on September 8, 2020 from 16:30 to 21:30 hrs IST at a virtual platform. The Summit will be graced by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India,  Mr. Narendra Modi. Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) as the Convenor of the ISA Global Leadership Task Force of Corporates on Innovation has the privilege to be the organizing Partner of the Summit.
 
International Solar Alliance, an intergovernmental organization currently with sixty-seven countries as its members has been conceived as a unique international platform for cooperation among its members with the mutual goal of ramping up solar energy by aggregating markets, and taking solar power applications to scale to improve energy access.
 
The First World Solar Technology Summit (WSTS) aims to bring together key stakeholders and innovators from the governmental, non-governmental and private sectors to discuss recent developments in the field of solar energy and related market trends. The primary objectives of this Summit are to showcase the state-of-the-art next generation solar technologies that can help countries leapfrog to a de-carbonized grid, achieve SDG7 and promote the uptake of other solar applications. ISA will also deliberate on the way forward to make available technology at a reasonable and affordable cost for all.
 
The Summit will be addressed by a galaxy of speakers including Ministers, Nobel Laureates, Chief Executives of global corporations, and Heads of leading global institutions. The WSTS beginning at 16:30 IST with the Plenary Session to be addressed by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India and eminent speakers will be followed by the Global CEO’s Session, four Technical Sessions running in parallel will conclude with a high-level Valedictory Session at 21:30 IST. The Summit is expected to be attended by Hon’ble Ministers & National Focal Points from several ISA member countries, diplomatic missions, Nobel Laureates, ISA Partner Organizations, high level dignitaries, senior government functionaries, academicians, R&D Institutions, innovators, solar project developers and manufacturers, multilateral agencies and stakeholders from all over the world.
