The first day of the POWER Final Event 26 Nov 2020 – The Closed-door meeting for Protocol Subscribers

In the next segment of the event, the representatives from the PoWER pilot ports – Bari, Brcko, Durres, Igoumenitsa, Ravenna and Rijeka – hade the opportunity to present their specific results and expected follow-ups: Ms Valentina Santoliquido, Institute for Construction Technologies – National Research Council of Italy; Ms Aida Celjo, CETEOR d.o.o. Sarajevo; Mr Fotis Stergiopoulos, Centre for Research and Technology CERTH, Hellas; Ms Saveria Teston, CNA Ravenna; Ms Floreta Kertusha, Durres Municipality.
Thereafter, Roberto Malvezzi from ITC-CNR hosted the Subscribers’ Workshop with the aim of setting common Strategy-related IHN follow-up actions and detecting next possible topics to be investigated through the POWER Methodology. Expectations of PoWER Protocol subscribers’ for the IHN are to transform ports into innovation hubs, absorb all innovative actions, green economy, rely on synergy, replicate good practices, continue collaboration… Ideas for follow-up actions after the end of the project to start the implementation of the PoWER Strategy are the following: to try to organize observatory points at port areas that monitor actions, organize different events, maintain the web portal, make use of the network (local, international), foster dialogue between different networks, create a synergy of networks, establish direct contacts by visiting ports…
It’s been a constructive day, with lots of data/ideas exchanged. Even though the PoWER project is about to finish, its ending may be the beginning of a new action.
